Synchronous image acquisition and processing system of multiple cameras based on source trigger and software control

  • 摘要: 从硬件和软件两方面对摄像机同步的原理和方法进行了研究,设计并实现了基于外触发和软件控制的多摄像机同步采集和处理系统。提出了通过编程控制将一种通用的数字输出模块作为同步触发信号发生器,并利用Visual C++平台开发了控制程序,能够通过触发信号的周期和波形来调整图像采集频率和摄像机触发电平。设计了软件同步策略,保证多台摄像机之间的图像同步曝光之后能够同步处理。经过验证,所设计的同步采集系统同步精度较高,同步误差小于10s,具有设备简单、使用方便、成本低等优点,并且能够消除丢帧、错帧等现象,提供了一种通用的多摄像机同步解决方案。

     

    Abstract: Principle and method of synchronization were studied in hardware and software. One synchronous image acquisition and processing system was designed and implemented. A general digital output module was adopted as a synchronous trigger signal generator and controlled by computer program. The control program was developed in Visual C++ platform, which could adjust the image acquisition frame rate and trigger level of the cameras according to the cycle and waveform of trigger signals. Software synchronous strategy was designed to ensure the synchronous frames of every camera to be processed synchronously. The image acquisition system is easy to operate, low cost and can be accurately synchronized to less than 10s. The system avoided frame loss and mismatch, and provided a common solution for synchronization between multiple cameras.
