Abstract: As an intelligent unit for oil leak detection, fiber grating sensor has a great potential in the oil industry. A fiber grating sensor was designed for oil leak detection. The experiment result shows that the oil leak alarm line of the fiber grating sensor is 1.0nm, and its response time is less than 3 minutes. The sensor features good performance and high reliability, and it can be used for monitoring purpose in the oil industry.
