Application of HDMP 1022/1024 in high-speed fiber data transmission

The structure and operation principle of HDMP 1022(TX)/1024(RX) made by Agilent is introduced. The interface circuits of the two chips and light emitting/receiving modules with PECL logic are presented. The circuits for point-to-point bidirectional full-duplex fiber data transmission system and onedirection transmission system were designed with the chips mentioned above. The start-up and synchronization process of the two typical systems are described. The system can be used in fiber transmission systems for high-resolution digital television signal and other high-speed data signals.
