Study on dispersion suppression technique of AOTF diffractive light

Abstract
The acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF), as the beam splitter unit of the acousto-optic modulated hyperspectral imaging system, produces +1-level diffracted light with dispersion during its operation. In order to utilize the +1-level diffracted light path as well, so as to solve the problem of low energy utilization of the existing acousto-optic modulated hyperspectral imaging system, a hardware compensation method of adding a light wedge in the +1-level light path was designed, and a method of image element shearing to further reduce the image drift caused by chromatic dispersion was proposed. Finally, it is found by experimental tests that the method can reduce the image drift of the +1-level optical path from 288 μm to 2.4 μm in the spectral range of 450 nm~850 nm.
