Optical design of 13-megapixel mobile phone lens with large aperture based on curved sensor

  • A 13-megapixel large-aperture mobile phone lens consisting of 5 plastic aspherical lenses was designed. Through introducing the curved sensor into the design of lens, the edge image quality could be improved without increasing the number of lenses while the large aperture was ensured, and the problem of edge loss could be solved. The system uses a 1/3 inch (4.8 mm×3.6 mm) curved surface sensor with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The lens has a focal length of 3.5 mm, an F-number of 1.55, an angle of view of 74°, a full field modulation transfer function (MTF) of greater than 0.4, a maximum distortion of less than 3.5%, and a relative illumination of greater than 55%, which can achieve good imaging effect. The tolerance is specified at a large value to meet the requirements of production.
