Abstract:
The steering approach of blazed grating limits the number and distribution of deflection angles of beam.Aiming at this disadvantage, a new liquid-crystal beam deflection wave control method based on phased-array radar model is proposed. The method controls the same phase difference between liquid crystal electrodes.The beam direction can be controlled by changing phase difference between liquid crystal electrodes.Finally, it is proved by experiment that this method can realize beam scanning with arbitrary resolution, continuous beam deflection accuracy is better than 20
μrad within the range of 0.15° light beam scanning.
